Crazy Times in Goulding Land

It has been crazy over here in Goulding Land! Family in town, Work Work Work, Intern Intern Intern, Work Work Work, Scorpions Scorpions Scorpions, and SSSSLLLLEEEEPPPP!

Hmm.... Lets Explain....

Well We had Family From Ohio in town at the beginning of October. I have ZERO pics from the experience. I have no idea what I was thinking. My camera just sat on my desk, longing for a time where she was needed..... Here is a picture of a family, I see some similarities... SOME....ok None.. But the picture cracks me up! ( you might want to click on it for the full effect)
My Job has kept me very busy, Driving all over the valley helping out the oldies. They are such sweet people! I have never laughed so much in my life! <3

I also started interning at Heritage Square in Phoenix. I actually Work for the Phoenix Museum of History and the Rosson House. I Started being a Docent at the Rosson house about a month ago! Wow oh wow do I love it! If you know me at all, you know how much I just love the past. And Specifically the 1800's. Well this is just up my ally! Everytime I go, I feel like moving in! The house is so beautiful and it is my dream to live in a home with such history! *tear*

Mike got a second job doing computer roll outs for Wellsfargo. He actually is contracted to them from a company that is just FAB! We pray that he will be hired on permanently and if he is he will be traveling all over the country! PRAY FOR US! We really need this opportunity!

Scorpions are everywhere at our house... Well Not now, but two weeks ago it was crazy! And of course me, with my need for cleaning, got stung. I didn't do so hot. Throwing up, crying, throwing up....it was just a vicious cycle of pain! But, I am much better now... and our home is scorpion free....... for now......

Mike and I are in need of a vacation and lots of sleep! Unfortunately, this weekend and next is going to be crazy! Halloween party, my birthday, and the FAIR! Hopefully I will grab
Miss. Camera and post a few later.

Love you!

Food for THOUGHT!

Political Participation, Voting, and the Political Neutrality of the Church

As citizens we have the privilege and duty of electing office holders and influencing public policy. Participation in the political process affects our communities and nation today and in the future.

Latter-day Saints as citizens are to seek out and then uphold leaders who will act with integrity and are wise, good, and honest. Principles compatible with the gospel may be found in various political parties.

Therefore, in this election year, we urge you to register to vote, to study the issues and candidates carefully and prayerfully, and then to vote for and actively support those you believe will most nearly carry out your ideas of good government.

The Church affirms its neutrality regarding political parties, platforms, and candidates. The Church also affirms its constitutional right of expression on political and social issues.

Sincerely yours,

Thomas S. Monson
Henry B. Eyring
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
The First Presidency

Interesting...
Maybe more of us will THINK before we actually vote this year!

So Feeling this!

So I know it has been awhile since I have updated this darn thing....

But right now, I just don't have the time/mentality to post! Plus nada has been going on!

BUT..... I have been pondering these good old Articles of Faith... especially since it's getting to be that time of year again.... Let us all ponder these the next time we try to convince someone who is right and who is wrong....

Articles of Faith 11-12
11 We claim the aprivilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the bdictates of our own cconscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them dworship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being asubject to bkings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in cobeying, honoring, and sustaining the dlaw.

Remember, we are all given free agency, NO ONE can tell us who, what, or how to believe. We should also remember that WE should never tell someone else who, what, or how they should believe as well!

Ah, the joy of Free Agency!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Apparently I've been Tagged....

Ok.... I've been TAGGED!

But First.... Here's who I tagged... EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! HA!

Camille's Not So Random Randomness:

1. I have this huge desire to be at the Temple everyday, every minute, every hour... But can never seem to find the time to do it daily. Once a week is usually what Mike and I can do. But with me staying home now I should have ALOT more time to be at the temple... Darn life! Darn Cleaning my house! Darn Laundry! It's Temple Time!

2.I really want to re-decorate our bedroom. We need a new bed, mattress, night stands, and I need to get something for our sitting area... but what looks nice in a bedroom sitting area?

3. I want to start making Baby Clips... The ones with the Flowers.. ya know? I made like 10 already.. they are way cute.... If you have a baby.. wanna buy some? lol

4. I am obsessed with Super Smash Brothers, on the Wii. I mean I even play when Mike isn't home. (Refer back to #1... I found the answer as to Why I can't!) Anyone want to join me? Come on over!!!!!!!!

5. I Love being able to stay home. Finally my house is in order, my life is stress free, and I am actually a MORE pleasant person. Now the only thing that would make staying home worth it, would be if I had to do it because of a Child... Hmmmm...... Where can I find a Child???

6.We are all the way done with our Adoption paperwork... It's sitting on my desk... just sitting there. I dunno why we haven't mailed it in yet... Maybe I'm scared to actually go thru all of this and potentially never get a child... or maybe I keep hoping I will juat magically one day get pregnant!... Pray for Us.... lol

7. I have one amazing husband. He is always so thoughtful and caring! I don't know what I would do with out him! He has to work all day in the Hot Hot Heat. And then Comes home and Picks up the Doggy poo! What a Lucky woman I am to be married to this funny, handsome, caring, thoughtful, silly, brave, strong, spiritual, loving....... MAN!!!!!!!!

8. I want to have a party at my house.... anyone interested?

The Rules:
1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your post tag 8 people and include their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment on their blog to tell them they've been tagged, and to comment back and read your blog for the whole story.

Temple Work....

Yesterday I had this weird urge to hurry up and do a Dear Dear Dear Friend of mines work at the temple. She passed away Last year from Ovarian Cancer.
This urge kept on until I decided to go down to the Family History Center. So I drove down there with her name and some dates. Wondering just how I was going to actually get everything in order, this nice woman by the name of Sister Crawford started to help me.
We searched for her death record and a few other things and finally found her!
But here is where it gets REALLY Ironic... Strange... or the Lords will at hand.........

The woman who was helping asked if I had a picture of Michelle... Which I keep in my Wallet...
As I showed her the picture, tears welled up in her eyes. She looked at me and asked " Is this Michelle Downin that lived on Lindner Street?". "Well Yes it is, Why do you ask?"...............
" I was her neighbor for about 15 years. When they found out about 3 years ago that she had cancer, we were in the process of moving away. We kept in touch with occasional emails, but that was it.... I had no idea she had passed."

Amazing... right? Was the Lord pushing me to get this work done not only for Michelle but for this woman to know what had happened to a dear friend? Or Was this all part of his plan to show me the importance of listening to the promptings of the Spirit....

Maybe a combination of both.

How lucky we are to be able to live so closely to a Temple, the house of the Lord. If you haven't been to the Temple recently... GO! What is your excuse? If you can't go inside, walk the grounds or visit the Visitors Center... There is no reason we should be missing out on the Temple!

Happy Beautiful Weather Thursday!
